Hey Boojagirl, i'll hafta stand corrected if needed but sure looks like a scratch off ticket(hope it's a winner fer ya), and cd of sorts. ;D
Sorry girl could'nt help it.Pic is still very blurry. But seriously, without a clearer pic, i'd have to put my cash dollars on a some type of thermocoupler.(?) at this point.

yea it is a scratch off, I like playing them, that one was a looser, I keep the winners together to bring in and get more.

My previous post said, "sort of looks like".
But you nailed it. I can clearly see the solenoid plunger and part of the windings. Yeap, when the solenoid is activated it actuates the plunger into one chime, and when it is deactivated by releasing the doorbell button, the plunger returns and hits the other chime. That set-up has been around for decades.
