Relic Hunting
An area that I have hunted a couple of times is being cleared; it's gotta be well over 50 acres. They have just started removing the timber so I hunted the log skidder tracks and holes. I hunted it 4-5 hours with just enough success to keep me interested.

Found a piece of a friction primer, some camp lead, a flat button, a bullet, half a horseshoe, some oddball iron and of course plenty of trash. Seems like iron with a hole in it will fool the best machines.

Looks like:

Looks like a good spot.....not only based on the Civil War items that you found, but the trash you dug includes a lot "sounds" that should have already been dug had the spot been hard hit by other relic hunters. Good luck--JB

Promising area, good luck I hope you find awesomeness!!

That place should produce well. The more they do the better it will get. Keep us posted and good luck.

just remember that some of that clutter from the trees being removed can be covering some awesome stuff. it can be a royal pain in the butt just walking around or thru it but it is what it is. it does look very promising, good luck.

Good job. In these last days of finding Civil War relics, at least in my hunted out spots, any keeper makes it a good day.
