IMHO - you went through the trouble of getting the coins - sure would hate to leave a bunch of silver stuffed in the middle of one of those rolls!

Picked up a box of halves today for the first time from my new bank. When I opened it up every ender was what appears to be an uncirculated 2022. Looks like I received a box of new halves. Question, is it worth it to go thru all of these rolls.

Thx for any help,

Steve
I would open like 2 of them as a sample to make sure they are all 2022s, and if they are, I would return the rest. However, if you are looking for errors, then open them all.

You are LUCKY to have gotten them... Check and carefully reroll them... dont touch them except rims... seal them and store them correctly.

2022 Halves have been sold out and pre sold.

Limited availability etc.

They will immediately be worth more in no time. IMO

BTW... you already made money ...

Both the 2022 P half dollar and 2022 D half dollar are each worth around $2 in uncirculated condition with an MS 63 grade

I know I could goggle it but having fun reading around here.
What's that box worth,as is?

its 500 dollars for that box.
Thanks Arc, I was counting wrong. Only 1st cup at that time. Now on 3rd cup and all animals out and feed🤘

Friggin sweet.

IF... you can afford to.

Keep and store just like that in a closet for a rainy day. :)
... no comment.... no "like".... hmmm must have to dump em.

Welp... pick out the best'es and reroll the rest and send them out into teh wild blue yonder... :)

Sorry, arc, been out and about all day

Think I will pull a couple of rolls out tomorrow and open them up just to confirm, though not a 100%, that they are all new coins. Probably weigh them as well.

You definitely should pull out several rolls if all uncirculated mint state and squirrel away.

I will say... i am not sure if you resell... but you could get double your money OR more if played right.
Which would in turn pay for your keepers.

Also would be worth the search for any and all errors if any... these can and would pay for the whole box... again if played right.

I think as of now I will keep the box, and open 3 or 4 rolls. Since I am east of the Mississippi, I suspect they will all be Philly. The Enders that are showing are all Philly. Thx for your sage advice arc.

So I unwrapped one roll and as can be seen in the pic, all new P mint and apparently uncirculated. Question, any chance the mint would have mixed proof coins in with these? Thx in advance for any input.

I don't know... me personally... i would have to go through every coin anyway purely out of curiosity etc. so.

Curiosity will probably win and I will check the rolls. Wear my coin gloves and re-roll each set as I go.
