New Cat

A year ago we lost our cat of 16 years. Since then the mice have been partying more and more. So yesterday afternoon I went to the place of homeless animals and picked out this girl. Her name is Chevelle and she's 5 years old. She's been adjusting well and loves to hange with me in the office. My little dog Bella wants to welcome her, but this cat wants nothing to do with her yet. Hopefully that'll work out. Poor Bella 😕

Best of luck to you and Chevelle and Bella. Maybe you could do like the video in Japan and introduce Bella to Cat in a Can, and Chevelle to Pup in a can. Who knows? Best of luck. They say that opposites attract.

Well played on getting another mouser.

Our 2 cats are great at chasing, watching, but not catching.
I credit 1 mouse each-pile of 2x4s fell over and did one in when the jumped on the pile.
The other the mouse problem died of a heart attack as there was signs of trauma-cat was just sitting there looking at it.
Bella and Chevelle will figure it out-took our Max and the 2 cats about 6 yrs

My last cat died 1 month before her 21st birthday. It was a common statement I made at the time that I was taking her to the bar for her birthday.

Great looking kitty & so nice you adopted her. Bella will eventually win her over. We have 3 cats and a 1/2 cat. Neighbors cat is over here a lot to get in on the treats!

Sorry about your old cat, and congrats on the new one. Got my first cat ever less than a year ago. She’s great, and I never considered myself a cat person before. It’s taken some time but she’s won my dog over too. Her name is bean dip but I just call her dippy.

I had to put a dog down last June. He got lung cancer. I wasn't any kind of a cat person most my life, but found they can be good to have around.
