1947 Nickle.webpCanadaStamp.webpForeign-1.webpForeign-2.webp
Today I came upon a lot of new coins today and the ones have pictured I think are the most uncommon.
The countries include Hong Kong, Singapoure, Denmark, Norway, France, Australia, Italy.
Please let me know what you think before I take it to a coin collector. Thanks.

I don't know about any of the coins in your list, but in your pix there is a nickle, what year is it and why is it in your pix?

Pretty much worthless in collecting terms.

Would make a cool looking display.

Sorry, nothing real valuable... :dontknow: You'll be lucky if a coin dealer gives you face value for the foreign coins. I don't think most banks even exchange foreign coinage anymore.:icon_scratch: My dealer pay's me $0.25 for any modern foreign coins. You'll want to focus on anything pre 1964. Silver coins are generally the same, foreign silver is generally pre 1960's lower denominations are generally copper or steel. American silver is Pre 1964, copper and nickel coins are valuable but usually if they are old and rare pre 1960's. If you want to collect modern coinage, focus on the state hood quarters and Lincoln cents and the newer nickels. Look for "errors" and you can find some good things. Some errors sell for BIG bucks !! :hello2: Hope this helps !!

Keep @ it and HH !!

cmon - this could be someone just starting out - or a kid even - when you start collecting something - everything is new and exciting(!)

Thats fine, they ask for thoughts & I gave the facts, you are just thinking fluffy, we are both right. In my opinion its better to get books or internet than taking to a coin collector, although any way you improve your knowledge is good. So Tnet have kick started this process.

Save all of them, except for the Canadian coins...I don't hesitate sending them back into the wild

What is the date on the French Centime? Might be silver if it old enough.
