After yesterday’s setback decided to contact owner of a site I had done about 8-9 years ago with a damaged Whites Coinmaster 6000 that i really didn’t know how to properly operate, only found a couple clad coins, but for me pulling anything out of the ground is a rush.So today I returned with better equipment and a lot more knowledge of MD the site is a former farmhouse built in 1877 that has been converted to a residential dwelling, only searched the exterior of a run down garage and hedgerow that make up the one side of the property and here is what I found View attachment 1632965View attachment 16329661937 Buffalo 1981D dime(there is some hype about this dime does anyone know what it is) and a 1943 Wheat Token piece is from a Sunoco promo I remember as a kid back in the 70s.

Nice finds.Congrats on the day.:coffee2:

Nice finds. The token is a cool save. Congrats

Less blurry photos and something for size would help. From what I can see, it looks a bit like a throttle or choke plate out of a carburetor.

No. It's an earring. I have found too many cheapo earrings, myself.

Is your wheat penny a 1943? If so, it should be made of steel. If it is a 1943 copper wheat penny......you da man.

I wasn’t aware there were 1943 copper wheat pennies any reference to that particular year I’ve always read or heard the term War Penny also was leaning towards an earring cause of the moment post on the backside thank you for confirming

Heading back to the farmhouse shortly to search front side of hedgerow only have 2 hours of time can’t wait to get on the flip-side of hedges closer to the house but doubt that will happen today cause I was asked to work this weekend sure wish I could retire and MD all day every day.

Woke up to another stinking rainy day had plans to either return to the farmhouse and start searching the side yard near the house or to begin searching an area where a large section of bleachers have been removed and replaced with a smaller more modern looking seating area at A.A Garthwaite Field here in Conshohocken PA. It feels like it has rained almost every day in the month of September, because of always having to dig in the mud these last 3 weeks my truck is a mess inside ,good news is the wife refuses to ride in it until I clean it out

Looks like it's a steel penny, I think I see rust

Ok will later this evening when I get done work and if it stops raining going to the bleacher hunt after work and dragging more mud in my truck

I also found one of those Sunoco tokens last week. I believe there were 7 in the set. I found the Stanley Steamer token.

Cool as I remember it was in the 70s and just like today’s fast food promos there was that one token that you could never get to complete the set at the moment trying to research this piece hunted right after work also gonna post on what is this forum View attachment 1636478View attachment 1636479
