Today was a little different, I took a new Garrett ACE 300 I bought for the grandkids to use to the site of a old Fort along a river. I am researching the site and trying to get permission to the old Fort, as it is now on private property. I hit the river bed with the 300 so I could learn enough about it to teach the youngins. I was in relic mode and got a strong, low iron signal. It turned out to be this old knife blade, or what is left of it. It is fun to imagine a trooper dropping the knife in the river, but I have no idea how old it is.

I like the 300 and think it is a great machine for the grandkids to start on, but I will keep my AT PRO awhile longer, I believe.
