I finally finished my new display. This is about half of the bottles I dug in 2012. I hope this year is as successful. Please everyone post all your pics too. I never get tired of seeing old bottles. I also finally came up with a way to display my Army memorabilia. HH everyone.

Man all those bottles on a shelf make me nervous. Yikes but I love them. Way to go.

Yeah I know it's quite a bit but I made sure that I hit two different studs. It should be ok.

Very nice. Good job on both.

Man ,that's really nice,I'm gonna try and talk the wife into letting me do this.

Thanks a lot. I just convinced her by promising that this was the only place in the whole house that I would put any of my stuff. Can't believe it actually worked!

Thank you for your service soldier! Coool-

Nice bottle display and collection! Are you getting them out of old houses / cellars? H Digs :)

They are mostly from an old farmhouse I have permission at. All the threaded ones are from the cellar (there are three or four hundred more of them left) and the cork stoppers are from the old trash pit I found outside of where the kitchen was. It was like they actually just threw the trash out the window. It wasn't 20 feet from the house.

That's fun! I once knew of an old colonial house that was falling in. I went down cellar and found dozens of bottles. I knew they were collectable so I didn't want to take them without permission. During the time I spent looking for the owner, a bulldozer destroyed the house and all it's contents. Just a little quicker and I might have had a nice collection like yours. :)

That's terrible. None of my bottles are near that old. I would die if I found a site like that. Shame you couldn't find the owner.
