Found in southeast Missouri

Holy moly,
That is a danggon good point right there. I would say 70 percent of mine are damaged in some way. Those southern points seem to strong. Thats a beauty, great spot. I have no clue on the affiliation, but I'll check back to find out in a couple days. Their are some experts on this sight. They will fill you in.

That’s a nice piece... can’t say with certainty, but,
It shows a strong resemblance to the heavy duty type , to me.

It's nearly impossible to tell which tribe a point may have come from, unless you are in a known, excavated settlement, at which point you are probably breaking some law. Those places are normally state or fed run. The age is probably archaic, long before today's "tribes" were established, putting the point several thousand years old. it's a beauty.

A few more angles would help

Maybe a Jackie?

Around here we might call it a Kirk stemmed, making it extremely old, just after the paleo period, but I don't know the typology of southern points.

Super old point! It looks too big and too old to be an arrowhead.

No size reference so how can you tell?

Could be any size, though it might be entertaining trying to guess 1.75" x 4.25"

No doubt a dart point and not a true archery point but it's common language to call all of them arrowheads.

I have one looks kinda similar, found decades ago in some fill dirt in Detroit when I was a kid - Dropped it years ago and cracked in half, glued it back together.

Looks like Dover flint to me as well. Here's an IL Heavy Duty for comparison. Gary

It looks like the tip has been repaired so it may have served as a projectile first and a knife later.

Thank you guys i live close to Trail of Tears and it was found on my land. Im in the bootheel area.

Here is the size comparison.20210503_105443.webp
