Hello everyone...
I haven't posted much lately, getting back to work and into the water quite often.
Two of the other commercial guys I work with came up with a few nice finds, in the area we were working. I put them on to a spot where an old schooner sank, covered with deep mud, but Chris found a nice big "deadeye" and a few hundred feet from this, he found a "crucible"... also very nice.
Not wanting to be outdone, commercial diver Lauren found a wheel made of lignum vitae "Ironwood" which measures 17" in diameter, 6.5" thick with a 7" hole in the center... weighs about 60lbs. Any idea what it was used for? Wheel from a cannon's cart?
Enjoy the photos and let me know what you think,
Wayne
