I am really enjoying my new Equinox 800! I have had about a 100 hours on it so far and I usually hunt in Park 1 at old sites. I have found a 1943 Mercury dime, 1904 Barber Dime, and a 1905 Barber Dime with a Big O mintmark in the last month. I had only found 1 barber before and this was the first coin that I have found with an O mintmark. I found the mercury dime in a new area but the Barber dimes were found in a couple of places that I thought I had hunted out. I hunted previously with a Garrett At Gold. I look forward to trying some of the new created programs on my Nox in NE Oklahoma to see if it makes any difference! Thank you to Bart's Big Boys Toys for hooking me up with the my Equinox 800!

Nice finds..I just started w the Equinox 800 myself..were they any deeper than usually found coins were ? Im really liking the 800 & have just started ..

The barbers were about 6-7 inches down but the mercury was about 3inches...I am also going to try the other modes too...I mainly did the park 1 because it was similar tone system that I had on my Garrett.

I'm also in NE Oklahoma and have a Nox 800. Nice Finds! Feel free to message me if you ever want to go on a hunt or do some knowledge transfer on the Nox or on Oklahoma.

Ok I will and thank you. I know it's hard to find metal detecting buddies because not many active in NE Oklahoma

Nice finds!!! I too am a new Nox 800 user. I've had mine for almost a month now, but due to bad weather haven't had too many times out with it like I would like. So I'm still learning all the settings and getting more proficient with it. I'm sure that as time goes on my finds will improve. I'm really pumped up. I love my Equinox 800 too!!!

Nice finds, run it in 50 tones park1 all metal. Run sensitivity up as high as you can stand. Then go slow enough to here each targets tone. Scrub the ground with your coil. You will find those 10-11" coins (dimes and cents)

Yes indeed great recoveries and best of luck with the new detector

I grew up in Tulsa and left Oklahoma in ‘73 when I graduated college. Wish in retrospect I had as much interest in treasure hunting as I did in girls and beer.
