New from North Carolina

Hi all,

I am from Wetern North Carolina and have been interested in metal detecting for several years now. I recently purchased what seems to be a decent little machine. I am still in search of good public places to search around Western NC, Asheville, Hendersonville areas. If anyone knows of any good spots I could look I would be more than greatful...

Hi NC,glad to get another north carolinian on the site, its a get site and some one will jump in soon to help you out. I myself, live on the other end around raleigh. I do know plenty of places here but not on the west end. I do go to franklin to gem hunt and to the streams around uwharrie mts to do alittle gold prospecting, but that is it......
