I got a new toy for Christmas and I think it's one of the coolest concepts to come
down the pike in a while. It's a Slacker G2 radio. If you haven't heard of them you
need to check them out. You can play your mp3's on it but you can also set up
your own stations that play whoever and whatever kind of music you want. The
service is free once you buy the radio. You can set up up to 25 stations (which you
choose online) and the "radio" downloads the music and you listen to what you want
to listen to. If you pick say Allison Kraus and Union Station, it plays their stuff, plus
others similar to her, like The Cox Family and Nickel Creek and a whole lot of others.
If you pick comedy, you can be specific and have 10 or12 comedians you really like.
You can update your stations anywhere there's Wi-Fi and it down loads more music
to your player. I'm really enjoying mine, y'all need to check them out!
