New guy from Point Mugu, ca

Greetings all,

I’m new to this and am looking for info on the right detector for me and anything else that will better prepare me for my adventures ahead. I live in Point mugu, CA and am in the Navy. I am a C-130 Flight Engineer and enjoy getting outdoor and exploring, so I figured this would be a great hobby for my family and I. Thanks in advance for all the help I am sure to receive here.
