New guy here that would like to learn about treasure hunting in Colorado. We live just outside of Denver. And we have a lot of questions. If any one is in the Denver are that would be willing to help us it would be great.
1. What kind of Medal Detector do we buy for a newbie?
2. Where is a good place to start hunting?
3. Are there any clubs to join to learn?
Thanks for any replies.

Welcome.
To find a club go to FMDAC.org
You can start hunting right in your own yard or neighborhood.
First determine what yur budget will allow, where you want to hunt like land or beach and whatyou want to hunt for mostly like coins or relics.
Once you get some kind of idea it will narrow down your choices. If you need any help in your choice please let me know. I'll be glad to help you out.

I am new to denver as well, so i do not know to many places here. if you are really going to get into detecting do the research on the type of detector you want coins, relic, gold whatever. i have a garret gta 500 had it for several years now and has never let me down. i would recomend something like it or a whites. good luck

I live in Platteville. I recomend the Fisher CZ-20 if you can afford it, The Tessoro's are great for the money.
