Hello everyone!
I'm an American - Slovenian, living in Ljubljana, Slovenia for the last 20 years. For the past 2 years I've had the idea of metal detecting pop in and out of my mind. Then in September 2019 I just couldn't stop thinking about it. I figured the only solution is to get an entry level detector. I got an Ace 250 and needless to say, after my first few hours out in the woods, I was hooked. Fast forward four months, I now bought myself an EQ 800 as a Christmas/Birthday present.
The treasure bug has bit me hard. I used to spend my spare time playing video games, but now I spend almost all of my free time outside metal detecting. I've been outside more in the last 4 months, than in the last few years combined, I reckon. My wife is very happy for me, but much less happy with all the dirt, mud and junk I bring back with me into the house, haha.
So far I've found 2 silver rings, some 19th century coins, a few musket balls, religious pendants, a bunch of buttons and also a bunch of modern era demonetized coins. No gold, yet.
Last week I found my first silver coin and was over the moon with excitement. I look forward to keeping you up to date with any interesting finds I may unearth in the future.
Here is the coin and I added this broken bell that I think is cool
