New in Denver Area

Hello all,

My name is Fletch and live in Denver Area. I'm new to metal detecting and wondering if any one knows the laws for Lakewood, Black Forest and Colorado Springs, Colorado. I just don't want to run out and start detecting in get in trouble and bring a bad eye to detectorists. Anyways I have found 10 wheats, Dog Tax Tag, and Dog Tag among the other trash items in my front yard so far (just trying to get use to the detector before I start hitting parks)

Welcome to Denver! Stay away from Wheat Ridge. For additonal information email the city or county and they normally get back in a day or two. I carry a copy of the emails with me in a folder just in case. There is also the Eureka Treasure Hunters Club site with some good basic guidelines.
