Hey guys and gals..behind on posting so will give you a wrap up on the past two weeks hunts from 3 locations. 1st location was a old private property dating back to the 30's. My 1st day there I find a few cool old cars and then get a solid 91 vdi @ 9 inches on the AT PRO..kicking myself for not bringing my cell phone to do my 1st live dig as I had a good feeling about this one and was correct. out popped a 1963 D Franklin half.
I hit up another old property a few days later and it was a bust most of the day..must have been filled at some point..just clad and new hotwheels..so I head toward the old mail box near the road hoping something was dropped there and found a 40's wheat...a few feet over from that I get a solid quarter signal and out came this old military button.
I go back a few days later where I found the half and my 1st find was a 1948 rosie..not far from that a 1952 S quarter. I was about to wrap it up there but wanted to sweep under a large bush they had in the yard and got a strong 87 VDI and 3 inches down popped out this massive silver ring. It has two dozen small diamonds on the face.
On my way to my parents yesturday I stopped by my old highschool a few hours to swing. A few on here that may remember my older posts know I have have found 4 silver dimes there and on my 1st dig scored another..a 1945 plain merc. Went on to find 7 more wheat cents from 34 to 50's..with 3 being in one hole.
The past few hunts have me to 13 silvers for 2014.
