Hello I’m new to this do a lot of history research on my local area has a lot of “tales” so gonna see what I can find. Do have some questions mostly about metal detectors and info would be great thanks

Thanks for the welcome any of you have recommendations on best metal detector not looking to drop a bunch of money but still wanting a good one.....and as far as the pin pointers do they really help that much or are you better trying to get one that’s build into the metal detector? How much is a bunch of money? A Garrett Ace 300 isn't a bad starter detector, and you can buy them with accessories in a set that are helpful. Pin pointers are critical to saving time and finding finds -- they are well worth the money and the detector's built in isn't even close to as helpful. Good luck and welcome!
