Welcome to TNet. The one I have seen the most posts about is garrett AT Pro. It is water proof and most say it works quite well on land and water. There are some good dealers on here that would gladly talk to you about the type of hunting you would like to do, and the locations you have in mind. I have a hearing problem so I suggest a set of headphones and if you plan on being in the water, they should be water proof. Happy Hunting
