So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). Welcome from California. Go to the forum for your local area and hook up with a local club. They will teach you everything you need to know. May cost you a beer or?

Try as everybody knows is to read all you can about detecting, and ways to detect- then have a fairly good detector and then bury money(coins) wife's wedding in plastic bag and see what it reads on you detector. Will teach you tones of metal at different depths write down what you find, have fun learning. Takes time like everything else you learn to do, no fast way to learn, spend a lot of time and you will be rewarded. HAPPY HUNTING
