I've been considering a M'detecting vacation to New Mexico about the middle of August this summer and I think that is official now...getting ready for it.

I would like to know if the rest stops along the Interstate allow detecting...anyone know about those 24 hour (limit) rest stops? :icon_sunny:

None of them are marked not to detect, I worked for a company that serviced them for several years and I've seen people out doing it. Do I know for sure, no, but I do know there are no signs saying you can't.

Thanks WriterofWords! It has been a while since I've been through New Mexico. I don't remember any signs either, but it never occurred to me at the time...they can be detected. Being from out of state, trying to find places to detect was really hard...a lot of private land, fences all over and everywhere...great, I'll give them a try. :icon_thumright:
