Hey everyone.
My name is Matt. I'm a novice gold hunter here in Redding CA. I joined the local Mining and Prospecting Association here last summer. I get out every now and then to sluice or pan. I recently got a killer deal on a used Gold Monster 1000, so my efforts have been directed to researching and scouting the local area to detect. Since I am so limited on time, I've really been enjoying learning about the local history, geology and planning out my next outing. All the work I put into planning makes the outing that much more satisfying and enjoyable. Good luck to everyone out there and I look forward to seeing everyone's finds and reading their stories.
