New Orleans (N.C.Folger token

Tried to get out today for a short hunt , but the ground was still frozen. Could only dig down a inch or two and after that it was still hard as a rock, so I thought I post a couple of past finds that I hope some of you would like to see. Put one in for you Knightwalker, a town that you might have heard of.

Sorry I checked my post and seen that I scanned the same side twice,here's some more on the Folger token, front says N.C.Folger 17 old levee cor. custom house st. New Orleans, the back says clothing store, youth boys, and children clothing ,trunks,blankets& plantation goods , hats & caps

Reeded edge. Rulau New Orleans LA-14 with a date between 1851 and 1853. The following information is from the 1860 census: N.C.Folger, clothier, born in New York State about 1810, living in New Orleans.

Thanks RVR. YEp I know that town very well. It might of been the store that use to be in the building on the corner, It's a bar/resturant now. I'm not sure if it's still Rons place now or something else. I remember back in the late 60's us older grade school kids would run down there before we got on the bus.

Wheaton is the county seat of DuPage Co up here next to Chicago. The Wheaton family has a huge history here. The town, local businesses, a judge or two, etc. Not sure if they're related to that town down south in Illinois. Just FYI.
