Talked to a guy whose home burned down 25 years ago and he said he had some 64 Kennedy Half dollars that were never recovered. He told me I was welcome to detect the property which is a corn field this year. Found a quarter that apparently was in the fire and a 35 Merc in the gravel driveway, I earned it, it was about 4 inches in solid gravel.

I don't know if the guy was pulling your leg or mixed up, but Kennedy halves didn't start until 1964. 1963 half dollars would be Franklins. Still worth checking out though. Congrats on your finds!
