Hi.I tried to readjust the original pictures to fit better on this forum. I hope these turn out better, plus I hope they even post since I'm doing this on my own, without the help of Lionhrt9. I'm really not a computer person at all. If nothing comes up or the pics are poor quality, I will get back to this site when my frustration level goes down, probably in a few days. Here goes nuttin'.

Good job on the find and the resizing of your pics! A lot of people have trouble resizing.
I see you got them down to 8 kb try 50 kb. After I size my pics I save them to my documents so I can find them easy.

On my pics I used photoshop for a while, but it was too complicated and slow for me. I finally loaded a disc that came with my camera and darn if it didn't have a very easy program to resize pics. Check at your camera dept and see what they have in the way of software. Monty

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will get brave and try to post the pics on the civil war website "cwbullets". Might get some more clues to what I have. I enjoy reading everyone else's posts, although I seldom make comments,(mostly because I don't have any usefull ideas as to what people are posting). I'm waiting for the item to come up where I can say, "yeah, I know what that is!". Someday, I'll post a mugshot like everyone else has. Till then.

Hey, Krazy, give it some time. I'm sure you'll get some answers here. We're not all as dumb as we look. ;D ;D

Great ring. I've never seen one like it.

Thanks haupin. Oh, I have patience. I helped raise,( along with my wife (not to forget her)), three boys and one girl. My definition of patience----kids! Anyway, I'm beginning to think this is not a ring. It's just too small. Barely fits over my pinky fingernail. Is that said right??? Hmmmmmgh. Can't wait for the cold spell to break so I can get to diggin' again.

The image on your ring is the "Great seal" which began its authorised use in 1902.I couldn't find any reference to it prior to 1902 in Albert's book.

That's a great piece of information d.i.d. At least I can dismiss the civil war era. Thanks
