New property RR seal?

Started a new property house is 1930ish land was next to a pre rev war tavern and across the main road was a early colonial house like 1730 s this property may have been part of either of those I think someone has hit it before as I didn’t find any old coins lots of clad and a musket ball which one side is flat (fired?) or just a bad mold maybe if anyone recognizes this seal I can’t read top of it yet middle reads RR Jersey City back has a date which is hard to decipher I think it says 1857or 1867 Patent we had a ERIE railroad here

Might read NY &Erie RR that may have been the early name later changed to just Erie rr I think

I think you solved the puzzle. You have a neat piece of railroadiana there. Im thinkin cuff, conductors pin perhaps even or MAYBE a ticket stamp end. cool find

Lol I was thinking that as I was updating pics as I cleaned it . There is another word I can’t make out that ends with ears that may help figure what it was thanks for responding I figured someone may be into the seals and have a little more info I keep trying to post one more pic after a little cleaning but it won’t let me upload it
