New SDC 2300 on the way!

Scored myself a used SDC 2300 afew days ago, still amazed i'm gettn it and that the wife was cool with it. I'm going to work this machine hard in and out of the water in search of gold.

Any comments on the machine from fellow users would be great. I know all about the machine, i'm looking more for things people have experienced in the field and tips and techniques they utilize.

I hope I will give try shortly underwater with it... did had in hand on the beach last years during a few hours: without ANY form of discrimination it takes time to handle it properly.

Thanks for the reply Frogmaster. I'm a Prospector just below the Oregon border in California. I'll be mining in and out of water all year long and backpacking into the wilderness looking for pockets undetected by such machines.

i only like "real waterproof" detectors, I hope I'll be able to do the same with SDC 2300..
