New site dozen buttons need ID help on a few ?

Hello all hope you're out swinging in this beautiful weather today I went back to the new site and I started digging buttons right away I only had a few hours to kill I dug a dozen buttons
The long US button I've never seen before
And the pewter button I don't recognize the design any help would be great thanks for looking

US item looks like a padlock keyhole cover
 
That pewter is actually octagonal. It could be a cufflink, but I would date it to the later part of the 18th Century

Agree with CRUSADER, the long US button is a padlock keyhole cover or "DROP" from a Russell and Erwin padlock.

I'm not the "go to guy" for identification Charlie, but I can tell you I'm jelly and happy for you all at the same time. Congrats on a good site, keep digging bud.
