I went digging this morning with my friend at a spot I have been itching to try. We quickly located a likely area, made our test hole, and hit shards, ash, and shell. We spent about three hours digging and the spot definitely has potential. Understandably, the top later was newer stuff, about 1900-1920. I had just started hitting into older stuff when we had to leave. Anyway, I got a jug, a busted stoneware (I'd like to think there may have been stenciling on that part haha), a Miller Dairy Co New Canaan milk bottle variety I don't have, a crown top Stamford water bottle in a size I don't have (busted top), a Brookfield insulator, a nice lock, a toy gun, two shoes, a toy train, and a spear/harpoon/frog gig. What's the evidence of older stuff? This blue shard of a blob top, along with a few other older tops and pieces, mean there have to be goodies underneath all of this. Hopefully get to dig tomorrow.
