Good evening fellow detectorists. I have a lot of pictures to post and some uncertain finds. The bad part is I didn't take my camera today but will post a picture of the new place which I obtained permission to hunt. I posted a picture last year of potential sites I was working on and finally chase the owner down. He is a farmer in his 70's. To make things better he went to school with my mother.
He gave me permission plus 2 other spots. This spot was built around the turn of the 1900's and the other 2 date from the 1800's. The house is gone but the old barn still stands. It didn't take me long to figure out where the house stood. The area is virgin and free of trash so I maxed out the sensitivity on my Ace. There is about 2 acres to hunt with a large front yard. I'll get a picture of the place and post it Sunday. Enjoy all of the pics. Ron
Found the following:
2 working crotal bells. They haven't rang in 100 years. Also found one large broken crotal. I can never find a good, unbroken largie
1 WW1 Great Seal Button w/ Kenyon Co. New York on the back
1 token with CA Jacol jeweler, Wapokoneta, Ohio on it
John Richter token good for 5 cents
A Landes good luck token??
1 1906 IH penny and 12 wheat's. The oldest were 1910, 1911. The rest were 40's and 50's. Also a 1948 Canadian penny
2 Rosie's
1 Washington quarter
1 pocket watch cover??
1 small spoon
1 cow head thingy. Looks like a ring but the hole is square??
1 winchester field shot shell bottom
1 badge with a star and some unreadable letters??
1 play money dated 1950 (Uncle SAM) I have found quite a few of these game pieces
The rest of the items speak for themselves. Lot's of "whatsit's
Any help would be appreciated
