New site with basta$ds of bramble top layers virgin site

Hello all was a nasty one out there today but we got out !!

Over the winter we the (basrard$ of bramble )
Have been researching our areas for sites so far we are batting 1000
The last 4 hunts have all produced colonial items
We are hitting 1700-1800 items everywhere not a lot of coins yet
We have to remove the bigger stuff first
Today I dug two buttons a 1864 2 cent piece.
7 killer brass hinges ( if anyone can date these it would help a great deal ) also found a very old door knob again the date would help
Big broad axe left it there (I'll get it next time to heavy )
Loads of iron that's gotta go

No there's two buttons and one 2 cent piece the coin is the pic in the hole ( not cleaned )

Love those hinges,they would look good framed on a shadow box when you get them cleaned up. Congrats on the two cent piece as well!

The hinges and latch may be from an old ice box. I'm thinking early 1900's or later.

Well, I agree with clearing that iron - that's they way to go.

That was a great hunt. Lots of coins and relics were had between the two of us. I thought that 2-cent was older but I guess it was just real nasty ground. Guess it was my day for coppers but they're all Roached.

Let's take Bartek back to clear the iron for us while we hunt the front half! Lol!
