While the ground is still covered in snow and hard as a rock i been asking around mostly from the Historical people here in town for information on any sites that pre date 1800 and 1700 there is lots !! churches barns farm houses and a Civil War camp not more then 5 miles from my home !! , on my way to work today i stopped at 4 places and took a few photos the first 3 photos is a Presbyterian Church built in 1640 when my town was settled it has a lot of property around it , the next photo is a farm house built in 1812 its a very tiny house on the edge of a huge farm by the way the lady at the Real Estate says its for rent hhmm? , next is a barn and sheds just down the road built in 1852 with a lot of woods behind it , last but the best ;D a Civil War camp not more then a few miles from here i was told it used to be a water hole for the soldiers to take there horses and a swim hole next to the camp site the water ponds are still there and is wooded over pretty good now i cant wait till the THAW :hello2: enjoy the photos HH Jim

Killer looking spots. I bet you find many good relics and coins in those spots. Looks like relic country. Good luck.

You've done your research and posted the awesome pics.
Now you have to wait for the thaw and protect the fort from the guerrillas.

If that Church is in Southold that's the church my wife and I were married in.
