So I'm out driving around looking for a spot to hunt while the wife shops. I was aware of a school nearby that I had never hunted. When I got there, I found it occupied and a private school. Not to be discouraged. I continued down the road, one that I had never been on. And discovered yet another school. And Elementary School built in 1965.
Here I am hunting fresh Wood chips at the tot lot school. I worked it for a while and pulled about $4.00 in clad. Surprisingly, I found a 1933 Wheatie in there and pretty good shape. Kewl. I also found some pork.
I moved over to the ball field, I worked the perimeter around trees, old and new. I pulled another 1.50 in clad. On one hit, I got a 73- 74 VDI on my Whites MXT Pro. Digging this baby was a thrill. My first thought, "Be white gold, be white gold". What I got was a very nice 12.3 Gram .925 Silver ring, Spinner. Very nice, very large. My heaviest ring to date. Woo Hoo. It has a rough nugget style to it. Size 6. Apparently belonged to a masculine but petite female. Also found a 1948d Wheatie.
I picked up my wife, who insisted we go back for a bit. We pulled an additional $3.00 in clad bringing the total to $8.78
I can't wait to hunt the rest of this school.
