This week on a whim I tried dimes for the first time in nearly 40 years , and have been pleasantly
surprised - filled a 50 dime tube in the first two days - admittedly my first box of dimes was
well above the averages I've seen you guys posting for a dime box (between 1--3 per box)
My first had 35 ! Over the last few days I've probably done 15 boxes - I've skunked out on
close to half of these and the rest have given up 1 to 4 silvers per box . I have yet to find a
merc . One observation I think is noteworthy - Many of the boxes of dimes I get are the clear
plastic wrapped rolls , but I am regularly pulling 1 to 3 silvers from these ! I understand that
these are not dream quantities , but It is worth noting that we can pull silver regularly , even
from these plastic wrapped rolls . Dimes are way easier to recycle than halves ! because if
you get lots of plastic rolled , you don't need to open the majority , and most banks will cash
you out over the counter with no teller hassles - Question - I've seen some of you talking
about 2009 dimes being worth more than face value - please enlighten me about this !
is it a particular mint ? or all 2009 dimes ? thanks Argentium . (ps if you are burned out
on halves , try dimes !)
