New to the site, and i might as well be new to rocks and gems again. Havent looked for rocks since i was a kid. But we went to the river for my birthday last weekend and i found a bunch of cool rocks that i would like to figure out what they are, as well as see if they would be worth throwing in a tumbler.

Not interested in polishing whiterock if you know what im sayin LOL

I also found some little geodes!!!

I'll probably be posting some pictures and asking questions about them soon in the appropriate forums

Welcome to the forum from the backwoods of northeastern Oregon!

Thanks for the warm welcome y'all i hope to learn a bunch about a lot different things. Right now im just a rock hound when im not looking for shed antlers or morale mushrooms. I found it keeps me sharp on finding sharks teeth when i get to go to the beach!!!

You've found a great place for information and fellow treasure hunters of all kinds -- welcome aboard mate! :occasion14:

Welcome. Indiana is sedimentary rock territory. Should be lots of Indian artifacts also. Look for fossil locations, there should be a lot online.
