I have a TRX and a Garrett Carrot (with the holsters that came with them) and they both work great when attaching them to the arm-cuff of your Equinox 800 (or 600). Also adds a little more weight for counter-balance.

Happy hunting!

Good idea,like it:thumbsup:

good counter balance but should be centered somehow. maybe on the shaft under the cuff?

Tried this today. It worked. Nice idea!

yup, keep adding the weight!

What's next?

perhaps a spare pointer on the other side and the stupidly heavy coiltek 15" coil!

Voila now heavier than the CTX

WTG. Good engineering

Don't always be so negative Mike!

Great idea and tip!!:icon_thumleft:

I swing right handed, and carry the carrot on a key ring reel on my left side belt loop. Easy to access with my left hand while holding the detector in my right. I’m happy with this method.

Trying it out on my equinox
The offsetting weight does balance it out but
I’m used to carrying my pinpointer in my left arm pit
Si it’s always ready. Sometimes I even leave it on
Till used again or it turns itself off. Easily taken on and
Off if I don’t take to it.

For counter balance I took a 3/4” pvc pipe about 8” long, reamed it to fit over the aft end of the shaft, added some lead weights to the aft end of the pvc pipe. Works well for my 70yr old arm
