LiPo batts may or may not explode upon contact with moisture. May or may not suffer cellular degeneration/memory. And of course they may or may not simply give you the opportunity for 3 times as many electrical failures as an ordinary detector!

I like that, you can even recharge them while using them!

When they deliver the unit that conforms to FCC regs for this class device it's gonna be too rich, too little, too late. The Chinese will have knocked one off for a quarter the price and delivered it already!

hopefully it's not 'look at THIS shiny thing" like White's did with their V3, which is in the same price range as Minelabs but with POORER performance.

Actually, in a pretty trash free environment, he has the advantage of whipping that V3 around like there's no tomorrow & covering more ground faster. I'm only taking him to the trash areas from now on!

Someone on a UK site did a head-to-head with the DEUS and the V3, and they were pretty much an even match..
