We have had some of the worst digging conditions this year that I can remember. I am psyched for a hunt. If anyone in the area is up for it send me a private message. I'm gonna try to keep posting in this forum hoping to generate some interest in Virginia specific digging. I can tell you that I am not disappointed with digging in Petersburg.

I agree on the conditions being tuff this winter, but spring should be here soon. Maybe the freezing and thawing will bring some more good finds too the surface.
I don't know why this forum doesn't get more activity than it does. VA is loaded with diggers. I guess people are just protective of their sites.

Last year I could get out almost all winter. This year with the freezing weather and my son's up coming wedding in March it is hard to do anything. Might try to get out this weekend.
