This is in my dad's back yard, it is 10+ feet tall and the blooms are very cool in my book.
My dad said take some pictures these blooms might not last long.

Kia ora Oregon Viking :hello:
Your Dad's plant is not a flax, but a Cabbage Tree.

Actually, it looks like Dad has a whole bunch of them growing together , rather than just one 'tree'.

They are a common sight all over our country, suburbs and countryside alike. They look good anywhere.

Our Flax plants are also awesome , but are a different story.

and please say Gidday to your Dad, from Me, Kia ora

Very nice pics Oregon Viking, my daughter spent close to a year in New Zealand studying abroad there and she also enjoys photography, we have some of the pics she took of the flowers and plants over there, hanging on our wall in our house.

New Zealand is gorgeous and very unique.

Thank you very much!:icon_thumright: My dad said someone told him it was a flax, and he did not research it.
Dad and I learned something new!
