NEWBIE First time out WHOAA

Hi All , First time out was a blast , There are only a few spots were the ground has thawed at the local park so far . My first plug produced a pennie
spent about 2 hours getting used to the tones on my ACE 250 , It's so exciting digging for the unknown I"M HOOKED . Great experience cant wait to get out again

Hi Ben, nice to see a new detectorist here! Welcome. I have been on this site for sometime now and also never heard
about MUGS, so don't feel bad. Don't myself understand what granny said: Just go to the 1st section on here scroll down
to the next section and part of the way down it will say MUGS! . Hope you did but just don't know what granny means
about 1st section I guess.

Anyway nice finds for a first outing. And now that the weather is better you can do much more. Yea, I know about being hooked
also, its a sort of habit forming activity!

I also agree with Cru (Crusader), find some old (18xx) maps at your local library and maybe copy them, then study them against a new
map and try to see the differencies. Then you will find the old stuff. Also in the center of towns and cities, but deeper in the soil. Have
fun!
