newbie from the UK

Hello to one and all.
I have joined as although I have not yet come over to the 'detecting' side, I do hunt for gold, mainly with a pan, pump and sluice!
The more I get into this, the more I think a gold detector might help so will be looking into getting one in the not too distant future.
