Newbie here - Didn't even leave my front yard and found...

Got a 1937 East Africa Half Shilling, a 1951 Silver Dime, and misc. nickles and dimes.

Tried to post a pic, but couldn't find a camera that would take a tiny 356k size photo. And, I can't even "Search" a treasure hunting site ??? I keep waiting for the email "Just Kidding" you can search now ;-)

Just use photobucket or tinypic and let us see the hi-resolution photos ;D

Cool stuff. I just upload my pic's to www.filckr.com (it used to be yahoo photo) then I just copy and past the url into my posts regardless of its size.

Most digital cameras take photos that are way bigger than 356k. Here is an easy way to resize your photos, providing you are using Microsoft Windows.

1) **Right click** on the photo file and click on "open with" and select Paint
2) Once in the Paint program, goto the image tab on the top and select "resize/skew"
3) Change both the horizontal and vertical values to 30.
4) Goto the file menu and select "save as" and save your new resized photo

This will knock down the photo file size significantly. If the photo is still too large, repeat the process but kick up the resize values to 50 each.
Hope this helps

I had the opportunity to hunt in this yard today with Exit Eden and found lots of nice targets including several wheatbacks and a nice Sterling Silver bracelet. Now were going to hit up all of his neighbors next. They were all outside today watching us and were fascinated by what we were finding :icon_pirat:.

Thanks guys, I know about the whole photo thing. I just find it frustrating in today's world of huge bandwidth that a forum won't even allow members to use the search feature. This being my first time in a "Treasure Hunting" forum, but far from first time on a forum, I'm not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling ;-) (yes, I know about the google work around)

Maybe being a newbie I should keep my mouth shut? But then again, maybe the owners of the forum should know about new users first impressions, and that the only reason I'm here still is because my buddy is, and I'm already searching (ha, searching!) for another forum site on treasure hunting.

Who knows, maybe after searching I'll find out that I'm already on the best site on the net, who knows! I can't think about this anymore, I have coins to dig!

I believe the search functionality is reserved for charter, paying, members only.
