Newbie in Murfreesboro

I just got my first (very cheap until I can get something better) detector yesterday so I havent even gone on a hunt. Wondering if there is anyone else in Murfreesboro that wouldn't mind showing someone new the ropes.

I used to live in Murfreesboro, Be very careful on where you detect. I found out by asking, That you can not hunt in city parks, on the Greenways, or areas like the dog park in Murfreesboro. if caught you can face very heavy finds and have you equipment taken away. I was also told that includes the riverbanks/ water areas in the town.
I would help if I still lived there. but I live near Gatlinburg now. Good Luck and welcome to the hobby.
