Newbie to the forum and heading out for the first time today!

Hello! So this is my first time posting to the forum. I just found this website the other night (got my detector about a month ago) and I'm hooked! I have a Fisher F70 and I'm heading out to a Western Nebraska homestead with a few old buildings and a school this afternoon. I'm looking for any tips or tricks about detecting I can get so I hopefully have a successful hunt!!!

The f70 should be a great machine and one You will not outgrow anytime soon.
I started detecting over 30years ago,when Few resources were available..
Wow,to start over again w/modern equipment,I envy You.
Welcome to Tnet,and Show us Your finds,and maybe write a field test report on 70 in hands of a novice.
I know its likely been done already but Field tests are usually written by advanced users,so Yours should be more usefull. learn the sounds and intricasies as You Learn.
