newbie!!!

HELLO! everybody, I'm a bit slow at this forum stuff. I'm mostly looking for more people in my area who metal detect. I have tons of cool finds so far I started detecting last summer and cant stop, its become a sickness. I'm mostly interested in coinage. and the area I live in, is historically amazing. still learning the ropes, but finally digging a lot less pull tabs and beer cans lol. I often wonder if perhaps 70 years ago two old men were sitting on bench tossing there pull tabs and laughing sayin " yup some day some jack ass will dig every last one of these up looking for coins" and here I am. any who, I live in the Easton pa, Phillipsburg NJ area .

Welcome. You live in a very historic area. I'm not all that far away, I can't tell you the number of times I've crossed that dumb bridge between PA and NJ.
however, that said, I only try to dig old sites and the bay in the summertime. What kind of machine do you use?
