Awesome tooth. You don't see many coming out of New Jersey with good preservation like that anymore. We need a look at the bottom to make a proper of identification.

From what I can tell, mosasaur. Very nice tooth
 

Im thinking it's a Thoracosaur tooth. Mos teeth are more oval in shape when you look at them from the bottom, and croc teeth are round. nice find either way.
