On June 10th I found a nice virgin area to hunt out in Iowa City, IA. I only spent about an hour and a half there when I found it.
During that hunt I got 3 IH's ( 1907, 1889, & 1898 ), 1- 1918s Merc, a 189? Barber dime and 15 wheats.
Going back out there for a hunt on Sat. morning for a few hours. I should be able to cover more ground since I won't have to worry about rushing to do something like the last trip.
Then it's off to load up the car with the rest of my son's belongings ( couple boxes and a bed ) from an apartment he had out there.
I hope this hunt is better then the last one.
Just for the record this spot is South of I80 and it doesn't have much clad in it.......
There are lots of areas just North of I80 that I have dug at and have had great success.......too
LOL
I'll let you know what I find.....
