Hello all. Got out for a while today, frustrating at first. I started out at a very old home place but unfortunately it was super duper trashy, I gave up after about 30 minutes. I then proceeded to hit some nearby fields that have produced some colonial items. I then proceeded to lose my phone, which also doubles as a wallet (ID, credit cards, everything) I searched everywhere, retraced my steps and then went to borrow another phone to try to find it. I was on the phone with Verizon to see if they could help and wandered back to a graveyard I was at earlier (no, I wasn't grave robbing) and boom, there it was on top of a raised grave. I don't know what I was thinking or what distracted me, I felt like such an idiot. I'm sure the Verizon rep also thought I was crazy when I said "I found it, I left it on a tombstone!). By that time I only had 2 good hours if hunting, but at least I located my wallet/phone/camera. I hit a field nearby and got a beautiful point with just the very tip missing, a small rifle ball, early pottery shard and a flat button (I know they're common but I love finding them!) I also found a few items I'm not so sure about, may be junk but I NEVER throw anything in the scrap bin until in sure what it is. Again any help is awesome. Gonna try to swing for a couple hours tomorrow at my uncles house before the festivities begin. Thanks for looking & HH!
