Gorgeous day, so I snuck out of work at lunch to do some hunting. I mixed it up today, and visited a spot that I haven't done in a while. Boy am I glad that I did!
First hit of the day was a 1906 Indian Head. Honestly, I would have been happy with that. I love the Indians!
Next up was a complete surprise. I was digging a 12:30 at 4". I figured that it was another Indian. Nope. Gold ring! 1926 class ring. Says BS on the other side. Sadly, the stone was missing. I sifted the dirt for a while, but couldn't find it! IT may not have been there to start. When I pulled the ring out, there was dirt filling the hole. Anyway, 6 g of 14K goodness.
On my way out, I hit my favorite signal. 12:47 at 6". I got a pick of the "action shot" finding it amongst the muck and also a shot of it cleaned off. Nice 1904 Barber quarter. Sweet!
I hit a local baseball field later in the day, and picked up two silver dimes. A Roosevelt and a Merc.
Nice assortment for the day!
